Pop Princess Britney Spears' mother Lynne wants the star to marry boyfriend Jason Trawick because he is the "dream" husband.

The 'Toxic' hitmaker split from Trawick, her agent in August reportedly over concerns that the relationship was getting too serious but the pair has since rekindled its romance, Us magazine online reported.

And the star's mother is hoping the romance lasts because Trawick looks after Spears and has supported her through her troubles.

"He's the kind of man you would dream of your daughter marrying. The kids love him, and he's stable... Everyone else abandoned her, but Jason refused to be completely cut out of Britney's life. He's very protective of her," Lynne Spears said.

And she's not the only person close to the singer who thinks Trawick is a good influence as Spears' friends are pleased about the relationship as well.

"She has been honest with Jason about what she's been through in a way that I don't think she's been with other people, and he always preferred to not sugarcoat the harsh reality of what happened to her. He tells her when she should take responsibility for her own actions," a friend of the singer said.
