“Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is here not for a retreat but would reach out to a vast section of urban and rural communities with special emphasis on youth. The Art of Living is already working in the state as NGO in the rural areas and with women on various developmental issues,” said Kamlesh, spokesperson of Art of Living. A special attraction at all his public interactions would be recital of the traditional and folk music of Himachal by local artistes. The performance at Solan was directed by noted Himachali artist Dr KL Sehgal.

The spiritual leader would be at Shimla on Tuesday,at the Ridge, where over 500 village women accompanied by 800 musicians would recite the traditional Faag, that used to be sung around the festival of Holi. The rendition of this tradition is limited to the royal families. A special session of Rishi Nitya Pragya with the audience of Shimla would also be another highlight, especially for the youth who have connected on a mass scale with him in the past.
