  • Himachal Pradesh Football Association players were reduced to mere visitors by the St Stephen's Football Academy unless a 82nd minute by Rajan Kapur saw them made a fight-back but it came too late as they were beaten by 10-1 by the St Stephen side who secured a semi-final berth in the ongoing Administrator's Cup.

Himachal made a disastrous start as they conceded a penalty in the third minute itself for bringing down Umakanta in the danger area. Showing no signs of nervousness, Johny Chand Singh put the ball past the Himachal goal keeper. St Stephen were on target again when Samandram Lanba made a solo effort from the centre-half and slammed a low shot into the right side of the goal. Johny's purple patch in front of the goal continued when he put a piercing cross from Umakanta into the net. The terrific due of Johny and Samandram rattled the Himachal defence and slammed goals after goal, leaving the opposition team thoughtless. However, Himachal's defence was less erratic in the second half and the forwards also had few shots at the goal, one of which resulted in a consolation goal for them.

Earlier, in the morning, Mohun Bagan began their campaign with a 13-0 win over Bihar Football Association. Chandigarh Football Association won their fourth straight game and entered into the last four following a 6-1 win over Rohit Football Academy, Orissa. Indian Football Association also ensured a semi-final berth by drubbing Chhattisgarh Football Association by a record 17-0 margin. Madhya Pradesh blanked Bihar Football Association by 6-0.
