Stake sale talk report ‘baseless’: Piramal Glass

Reports said that Piramal was in discussion to sell its glass business to Hindusthan National Glass & Industries Ltd.

Piramal Glass said on Monday that a newspaper report saying the founders were in talks to sell stake in the company was ‘baseless’.

Media had reported on Monday,the Ajay Piramal group was in discussion to sell its glass business to Hindusthan National Glass & Industries Ltd.

Shares of Piramal Glass had jumped more than 7 per cent in early trade on Monday but later eased to Rs 100.5 at 11.05 a.m.,still up 3.4 per cent from its previous close.
