Starbucks reaches Delhi, opens outlets at IGI Airport

Expanding its reach to new markets in India, coffee chain Tata Starbucks today announced opening of two outlets at the National Capital's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
While one outlet will be opened at the domestic terminal,
another one will be started at the international terminal of
the airport, Tata Starbucks said in a statement.
"With this launch, Starbucks forays into a new market
segment and expands the number of stores, reaching more customers in the market," it added. Commenting on the expansion drive, Tata Starbucks Chief Executive Officer Avani Saglani Davda said: "The launch at the
New Delhi IGI Airport is consistent with our commitment to
work thoughtfully to open stores in locations where our
customers want and expect us to be."
The company hopes to extend the Starbucks Experience and meeting the increasing demand for high quality coffee within travel channels in India, she added.
"Starbucks plans to extend its presence in this segment
with the launch of Starbucks stores at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai by the end of March 2013," Tata Starbucks, the equal joint venture between StarbucksCoffee Company and Tata Global Beverages Ltd, said.
Starbucks had entered the Indian market in October 2012
with the launch of three stores in Mumbai.
