Air Chief Marshal P V Naik said: 'Our Army, Navy and Air Force are capable of looking after the interest of our country'.

Unperturbed by reports of China selling 36 advanced fighter jets to Pakistan or plans to launch an intelligence satellite, the IAF on Friday said there was "nothing to worry" as Indian armed forces were capable of protecting country's interest.

"Do not worry and do not make people worry. Our country is strong enough. Our Army, Navy and Air Force are capable of looking after the interest of our country," Air Chief Marshal P V Naik told reporters in New Delhi on the sidelines of an aerospace medicine seminar.

He was responding to queries if the Chinese selling J-10 fighter jets to Pakistan and their plans to launch an intelligence satellite soon was a worry to India.

"When a sovereign country interacts with another country, there is no issue over selling weapons. It is up to them," he said on the fighter jet sales.

Naik said several countries had intelligence satellites and there were several types of satellites in space on Friday.

"However, we have stated that we are not for militarisation of space and the entire world has said that it is not for militarisation of space," he said.

"What China has been doing...we have nothing to do about it. It is their problem. Let them do anything. Do not worry, we are capable of taking care of the country," he added.

Tired of China NewsBy: Anand | 14-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Not even a day goes by without our media - print or otherwise publishing trivial details about China doing this or that against us. When will we ever allow the dust to settle down? I am convinced that more than China, it is our media which wants a war between India and China.
Dont bother about ChinaBy: Bala | 14-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Rightly said.. I dont see much reference of India in Chinese media, if so why is our media so pertrubed by them. focus on more important issues on hand. Has any media person visited Tawang and reported on status of people before Dalai Lama went there?Media should reach out to everybody and create a pan India Identity through knowledge than fear..

Chinese fighters for PakisBy: Raj | 14-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Why is India not taking up the issue with China and strongly lodge a protest with them. The chinse make a hue and cry over small things, they go hyper over petty things like Dalai Lama's visit ti Twang etc, which are nothing compared to sale of weapons to Pakis, gifting the nuclear bombs and yet our Govt is silent. Wake up India wake up. We have been sleeping since 1947, our armed forces have been suffering and yet we have 'nothing to worry'!!!!!!
No point--since China is much worseBy: Devasahayam | 17-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward .
