The state government has given one more chance to those who haven't yet filed their impact fee applications by extending the deadline for regularising unauthorised constructions. The government extended the cut-off date by six months for filing applications for regularisation of unauthorised constructions, under the Gujarat Unauthorised Development Regularisation (Impact Fee for Regularisation of Illegal Properties) Act 2011
While February 19, 2013 deadline was set, after slashing down fees for the second time in last August, so far the number of applications haven't touched even mark of 1 lakh.
On Tuesday, Urban Development Minister Anandi Patel announced to extend deadline till August 19. Witnessing the lukewarm response so far, even regularisation fee rates have further slashed.
As per the new rates, now for total built up of 50 square metre ground and above floor fee will be Rs 2,000, for built up between 50 to 100 square metre the fee will be Rs 4,000, Rs 8000 for built up of 100 to 200 square metre and Rs 12,000 for 200 to 300 square metre and additional Rs 100 per square metre for built up above 300 square metre. For commercial properties, the rates will be double.
While in last plan, the fee was also calculated on the basis of prevailing jantri (ready reckoner for market) rates. But in the latest structure, the government has done away with the same.
As per last fee structure announced by the government in August 2012 to regularise a 40-sqm construction is Rs 10,000 instead of earlier Rs 25,000.
Similarly, 40-100-sqm construction was regularised for Rs 20,000 as against the earlier premium of Rs 75,000.
