  • The Opposition RJD accused the Nitish Kumar government of ‘being responsible’ for the carnage in which 16 people, mostly teenagers, were killed at Amosi Bharen village in Bihar's Khagaria district on Thursday night.

"The state government is responsible for the carnage," RJD vice-president and MP Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, who headed a fact-finding committee of the RJD that toured the area, told reporters.

"Had the state administration been alert, the carnage could have been avoided," Singh said.

The RJD leader said his party would stage a sit-in here to protest against the carnage and the the recent boat capsize incident in the same district in which 61 people were drowned.

LALU AND THE RJDBy: NIRANJAN | 06-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward LALU WOULD HAVE US BELIEVE THAT THE MISRULE OF NITISH KUMAR IS THE PROBLEM. BUT HE IS VERY CONVENIENTLY FORGETTING HIS OWN MISRULE WHEN HE INSTALLED HIS ALMOST ILLITERATE WIFE ON THE SO CALLED THRONE OF BIHAR AND THUS FLOUTING ALL THE NORMS OF DEMOCRACY. HIS MISRULE OF 15 YEARS WHERE HE MISAPPROPRIATED 100s OF CRORES OF RUPEES FOR HIS PARTY IN THE FODDER SCAM AND PROMOTED HIS RELATIVES. SO, LALU, LOOK AT YOURSELF BEFORE YOU POINT FINGERS AT OTHERS.
