  • India have won 10 and lost 3 in 26 games against Sri Lanka. The remaining 13 matches ended without a result.

    Sri Lanka have won three, lost two and drew seven in 12 Test matches played against India at home.

    The Sinhalese Sports Club Ground has been a happy hunting ground for Sri Lanka. They have won 15, lost six and drawn nine in 30 Test matches played here since March 1984.

    Both teams have won one match each in five Tests played against each other at

    this ground. The remining three Tests ended without a result

    India’s 235-run victory here in 1993 was their first ever victory in Sri Lanka.

    The Lankans beat India by an innings and 77 runs when the two teams met here the last time, in 2001.
