The owner of a Hapur-based steel firm, Pradeep Kumar Sharma (45), was robbed off Rs 3.5 lakh by two unidentified miscreants in Lucknow’s Naka Hindola area on Sunday evening.
Sharma had come to Lucknow on Sunday morning to collect money from various shops where his firm supplies goods.
He was on his way to the Charbagh railway station on a rickshaw, when two miscreants snatched his bag and fled.
“According to Sharma, when his rickshaw reached near Dugawan outpost, two miscreants snatched his bag,” said V K Pandey, in-charge of the Dugawan outpost.
The police, however, claim there are several loopholes in the story narrated by Sharma. “We are investigating the case,” said Roshan Lal Jayant, Circle Officer of Kaiserbagh.
