Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Friday said Nafisa Ali’s switch over to the Congress shows the “uncertainty of her nature” and hoped that she stands by her political affiliations in future.

“When she had earlier left the Congress to join SP, Nafisa Ali had accused the Congress of using people to suit its own means and later discarding them. Now that she has rejoined Congress, it goes on to show how uncertain she is about her decisions. However, I wish her all the best and hope she sticks to her political affiliations,” Singh replied when asked to comment on Nafisa’s decision to leave SP.

Former Miss India and actress, Ali had contested the 2004 Lok Sabha elections from South Kolkata on a Congress ticket, but had lost to Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee. In the last Lok Sabha elections, she unsuccessfully contested the Lucknow Lok Sabha seat on SP ticket after actor Sanjay Dutt was disallowed from contesting elections by the Supreme Court.
