Police on Monday arrested a management student for allegedly raping a girl from his college at knife point.

Pankaj Mishra,20,who is studying for Bachelor of Management Studies at a college in Chembur,Mumbai was held after the girl,17,a mass media student,alleged he raped her at his home last week when she visited him for help with a study project.

“We have arrested Pankaj Mishra.The girl lodged a complaint with us on Sunday,alleging he had offered to help her with a project and called her to his home at Chembur Camp on July 21. He locked her in and raped her. He let her go the next morning,” said Senior Inspector B B Rathod.

Police have booked Mishra for rape,criminal intimidation and wrongful confinement.
