Sujoy Ghosh is on a roll. After winning the award for the Best Original Screenplay for Kahaani at the recently held South Asian Rising Star Film Awards in New York, where he beat other nominees like Anurag Kashyap for Gangs Of Wasseypur, Akshat Verma for Delhi Belly, Juhi Chaturvedi for Vicky Donor and Gurvinder Singh for Alms Of The Blind Horse, the director will be inaugurating the Siliguri Film Festival on November 14 at Siliguri.
It is also confirmed that the film will soon be adapted in Tamil and Telugu by Endemol Production House and in English by Yash Raj Films. "I am thrilled about winning the best screenplay because it was really tough writing it. The story of the film was very simple, seven months pregnant Vidya Bagchi arriving in Kolkata from London to find her missing husband, and that was something the audience knew even before they stepped into the theater so the screenplay had to be really extraordinary to hold their attention. A lot of thought went into it," said Ghosh.
