The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Tuesday organised a Belgium-India Green Tech Summit. The summit explored new grounds for building a partnership based on clean technology.
Naushad Forbes,chairman,CII,western region and director,Forbes Marshall Pvt Ltd,in his introductory remarks said,The Indian market will enable Belgium companies to spread the cost of technology. India is a perfect manufacturing base for such companies and has huge requirements for renewable energy sources.
Rudi Thomaes,CEO,VBO- Federation of Enterprises in Belgium said clean energy technologies is a promising sector and is already a large and growing market. Belgium is the leader in Europe for waste management and recycling. Greening our own company will help to limit ecological footprints, he said.
Jan Declercq,chairperson,Renewable Energy Club,Agoria,said their objective is to improve the visibility of Belgian expertise in renewable energy technology solutions and green technologies.
G M Pillai,founder director general,World Institute of Sustainable Energy said the time is right to involve in clean energy sector.
