I have been an MLA for four terms and am confident of making it for the fifth time, said Chand Mohammed,formerly known as Chander Mohan,while addressing the media on Sunday. While he stated that various parties have approached him for contesting the elections,he chose not to disclose their names. On the prospects of his wife contesting the elections,Chand said,Anuradha will contest elections if she deserves it and the party asks her to do so. Interestingly,the various supporters of Chand were hard to find during his media briefing. The president of Panchkula Muncipal Council Ravinder Rawal,Panchkula Congress president Om Parkash Devinagar and Congress leader from Pinjore Vijay Bansal,who are known to be the loyalists of Chand,remained conspicuous by their absence. Only two councillors Sangeeta Goel and Shamsher Singh from the 31-member Panchkula Municipal Council were present.
