Swine flu toll rises to 96 in Pune

    The delayed test reports from National Institute of Virology confirming the infection were received on Friday.

    Three children aged between one month to four years died of swine flu during the last three days here, taking the toll in the viral infection in the city to 96, health officials said on Saturday.

    The children succumbed to H1N1 infection at YCM hospital at Pimpri, they said.

    The state health department has, meanwhile, appealed to the citizens to undergo screening without delay if they developed suspected swine flu symptoms.

    Street plays are being organised to create an awareness among people to seek early medical help.
