Bakre wins FIDE rating tournament
Grand Master (GM) Tejas Bakre of Ahmedabad scored 9 points to emerge winner in the Late Sharad Gopal Kunte Memorial FIDE rating rapid chess tournament. Pune player Abhimanyu Puranik Finished second with 81/2 points. Bakre who maintained a clean record after 9 rounds received the winning prize of Rs 15,000, while Puranik got Rs 10,000 for his effort, Sameer Kathmale of Sangli finished third with 8 points while Chinmay Kulkarni and Aniruddha Deshpande finished fourth and fifth with 8 points.
