Chand Chhupa Badal Mein,which has Javed Akhtar as the sutradhar has just begun airing on Star Plus and according to sources a similar titled show was being worked out for Colors. Called Chand Jalne Laga,this serial was also set in the backdrop of Himachal Pradesh and was shot in Shimla. However,since Chand Chhupa. has already started,the producers of Chand Jalne Laga have apparently changed the title to Abhiman. However,when contacted,Siddharth Tewary of Swastik Pictures,who is producing the Colors show denied any similarities. Chand Jalne Laga was just a working title and that also went through many changes. We havent finalised the title yet and it is not set in Himachal Pradesh. Aamir Ali to play Akshay KumarAamir Ali,who is going strong on the dance show Zara Nachke Dikha,will soon be seen in the film I Hate Luv Storys. The role is apparently based on Akshay Kumar,he is even called Rajeev Kumar,which is Akshays first name. He is shown to be a ladies man with a roving eye. When contacted,Aamir denied he is playing Akshay,I am just essaying the role of a superstar, he said. Aamir had earlier done a film called Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai before settling on TV with serials and reality shows. I felt that it is better to do big projects on TV rather than a bad role in films, he reasons. However,it was the lure of Dharma Productions and Punit Malhotra that made Aamir accept I Hate Luv Storys. I just connected with Punit when I met him for the first time and Dharma is the best production house to work with, he smiles. As for Zara Nachke Dikha the actor,who had won Nach Baliye with beau Sanjeeda Sheikh,is hopeful of clinching the trophy this time too.
