Talk of the town

Staring the event organised by Sarvasva Designs Pvt ltd was Ravi Gadre,an architect by profession who presented caricature showing the fun in negativity of life. From personalities like Salman Rushdie to his friends,he shared his impression in the most contagious way. Gadre also went on to present a cartoon of his own vehicle,thus imparting voice to the ‘emotions’ of non-living things.

Max Babi,metallurgist and author,shared some quotable quotes by the likes of Mozart and Beethoven while talking about music and its importance in life. Ruchi Singhal,artiste,discussed her journey from caricature to sculpture-making and her quest for infusing life in the statue,while Darpana Athale,architect and organiser of the event took the audience down the memory lane with pictures of city-based people in different moods.

Maitrey Doshi,a young participant who is also a community artiste,presented her tryst with Trashcan Project in Baltimore,where she had to give peace message through children of the community to check the growing violence. It was noted artiste,Milind Mulick who then talked about his painting in different moods and themes followed by Dinesh Katre,head of CDAC who chose to speak about his childhood in his village,where nature was his best friend.

The last speaker,director of Neeti Solution,Parag Mankeekar,came up with a unique concept of explaining the world through the eyes of a caterpillar. The evening culminated with announcement of yet another Pecha-Kucha Night,which will be organised on February 12.
