  • Bolstered by a superb brace from Tanya Sharma, Saupin's School, Sector 32, recorded an easy 2-0 win over Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, in a match during the RF Saupin Memorial Football Cup held at Saupin's School ground in Sector 32 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, both Carmel Convent and Saupin's School, Mohali, battled out in a highly exciting encounter. However, some good work by the custodians and poor finishing from the forwards eluded them from breaking the deadlock. However, in the end, Amanya's strike turned out to be the decisive factor of the match as Carmel Convent won by a solitary goal. In another match of the day, Saumanya scored a hat-trick to steer Sacred Heart A towards an emphatic 3-0 win over Sacred Heart C team.

Sacred Heart B got walk-over Ryan International School and Simran scored a brace to help Carmel Convent win the match 3-0 over Sacred Heart A team. Saupin's School, Mohali, recorded a facile 2-0 win over Sacred Heart C. Harshdeep and Harsimran scored a goal each. In the match between Saupin's School-32 and Ryan International, the former got walk over the latter.
