Tata Indicom,the CDMA brand of Tata Teleservices,today announced its partnership with Samsung to launch high-speed data-enabled phone.
This partnership will allow both prepaid and postpaid subscribers to access high-speed data while on the move.
Prepaid and Postpaid subscribers of Tata Indicom will get 10 GB memory space as free trial usage to use in the first two months on their Samsung Corby handset. Samsung Corby handsets are provided to all Tata Indicom customers and can also be bought in the open market,all across the country.
Tata Indicom said,this is the first ever high-speed data enabled mobile device on CDMA.
Tata Teleservices Chief Marketing Officer Lloyd Mathias said,”Earlier in 2009 we announced our open market handset initiative. We are now offering high-end mobile devices that supports both voice and data and our partnership with Samsung is the first step in this direction.”
Both prepaid and postpaid users can now access their personal mail accounts and social networking sites,download various chat accounts and do much more with the phone.
Using prepaid recharge voucher,user can now access Internet anytime anywhere with recharge option of as low as Rs 28. There are three different recharge denominations. A voucher of Rs 28 will allow customers to access Internet at flat rate of 50 paise per MB throughout the day.
Postpaid subscribers can also avail free trial usage of 10 GB memory for the initial two months. Customers will be charged at the rate of 50 paise per MB for any additional data,after the end of free trial period.
