Techie arrested for creating fake profile of colleague’s wife

The Cyber Crime unit of Cyberabad police arrested a technical analyst for allegedly creating a fake profile of his colleague’s wife on an online classifieds network,with the intention of maligning her image.

Bandela Vishal alias Abishek created a fake profile on the website ‘locanto.com’ by putting up the victim’s picture along with a “sexually abusive” message,Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dwarka Tirumala Rao said.

Following the complaint by the husband,the Cyber Crime unit started investigation.

“The accused had some misunderstanding with the complainant… as his name had been allegedly dragged into some issues by the latter. In order to defame him,the accused created profile in the name of complainant’s wife,” Rao said.
