As the investigation in the Tehelka sexual assault case gained momentum,the Goa police on Monday said they have established contact with the woman journalist who has accused the magazine founder Tarun Tejpal of sexually assaulting her in a Goa hotel.

Goa police have been able to establish contact with the victim, DIG OP Mishra said.
Accusing the founder and editor-in-chief of Tehelka magazine,Tarun Tejpal,of assaulting and raping her colleague during a media event in the state,Goa Police had on Friday registered an FIR in the case.

The issue came into the limelight when an email by the woman journalist of his magazine alleging sexual assault was made public and Tejpal announced on November 19 that he was “recusing” from his job for six months.
On Monday,Tejpal moved the Delhi High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the case lodged against him in Goa. Tejpal,in his petition,filed through advocate Sandeep Kapur,has also sought transit bail to approach the appropriate court in Goa. The alleged incident happened in a lift in a five-star hotel in Goa earlier this month.
