Tejpal’s lawyer Sandeep Kapur denied moving to the Supreme Court for any relief.

According to Goa DGP Kishan Kumar,Tejpal sought time since he got the police summons only this morning.

However, the DGP refused to answer a question whether the Goa police would get a non-bailable warrant issued against him.

Earlier, labeling Tehelka founder-editor Tarun Tejpal as a “coward” for “going underground” after he was accused of sexually assaulting a colleague, the Goa government on Wednesday vehemently opposed his plea for anticipatory bail saying the veteran journalist had failed all tests laid down by courts for such bail.
