Telangana Cong MPs,leaders pray for Sonia’s recovery

Congress MPs and other leaders from Telangana region on Sunday conducted special prayers here for the speedy recovery of party president Sonia Gandhi,who underwent a surgery at a US hospital for an undisclosed ailment earlier this week.

Telangana Congress MPs,who have submitted resignations over statehood issue,and are staying away from the ongoing session of the Parliament,offered prayers at a church in the city. Prayers were conducted at temples and other places of worship too.

The Steering Committee of Telangana Congress leaders had on Saturday announced a fresh round of agitation. Congress legislators from the region also said that there was no question of retracting the resignations,tendered to press the demand of separate statehood.
