The Total Tennis Academy is going to organise Manav Mangal AITA Total Tennis Talent Series Championship at Manav Mangal Smart School Phase-X,Mohali,from July 6 to 10. The championship will be played in boys and girls under-12 and 14,singles and doubles categories. Meanwhile,qualifying matches will be played on July 4 and 5. GMCH Cricket Club records win
Buoyed by an all-round performance by Sanjeev Messi GMCH Cricket Club inflicted 41-run win over Nine Club,PGI in the Second Invitational Cricket Tournament for Employees in a match held at the PGI grounds in Chandigarh on Sunday. Batting first,GMCH Cricket Club scored a total of 165 runs for the loss of four wickets in 18 overs. Ajay Sharma made 52 runs,while Sanjeev Messi chipped in with an unbeaten knock of 32 runs. In reply,Nine Club,PGI were bundled out for 124 runs in 17 overs. Medium-pacers,Sanjeev Messi and Mohinder Rawat with three wickets each demolished the Nine Club,PGI batting line-up to win the match.

Talwar,Gulati elected
Ravinder Talwar and Harbhushan Gulati were unanimously elected president and general secretary,respectively,of the Chandigarh Kho-Kho Association in the general body meeting held at The Banyan Tree School in Sector 48-B on Saturday. Talwar,who is also general secretary of the Chandigarh Olympic Association,has been elevated to the post of president. He was earlier senior vice-president of the association. The house unanimously amended the constitution to have a new post of chairman and former president Raghuvir Sharan became chairman. Shalender Kaushik was unanimously elected treasurer.

CFA to conduct exams for referees
The Chandigarh Football Association will conduct written examinations for class III football referees at The Banyan Tree School in Sector 48-B here on June 20 at 10 am.

According to CFA general secretary,Rakesh Bakshi candidates between the age group of 18 to 25 years are eligible to sit in examinations. The CFA will charge just Rs 100 per candidate as examination fee. Qualified referees will appear for practical physical fitness test and viva-voice test. The successful candidates would be provisionally promoted as class III referees. Interested candidates may contact Rakesh Bakshi (9872663039) for more information.
