Terror hits Delhi again; bomb blast kills boy

    Another blast rocked the national capital killing 1 and injuring many.

    Soon after the explosion, Home Minister Shivraj Patil reviewed the situation with top officials of his Ministry.

    Gupta, who talked to Delhi Police Commissioner Y S Dadwal, briefed Patil on the situation.

    The nature of the explosives used in Saturday's blast was not immediately known. Forensic experts of the NSG bomb data squad, who visited the spot, found the nails in the explosives were sharpened on both sides.

    Immediately after the explosion, shopkeepers and shoppers rushed to help the injured people and took them to nearby hospitals.

    "There was a huge sound. I came out of my shop and saw some people were injured and screaming for help," a shopkeeper said.

    People in the area displayed their anger by alleging that police came late despite being called several times.

    "Police were nowhere to be seen till one hour after the incident. We took the injured to the hospital," a shopkeeper, who was injured in the incident, said.

    Police have cordoned off the area and senior police officials have rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.

    Soft TargetBy: Rajesh P | 27-Sep-2008 Reply | Forward India has become perhaps softest target for terrorists.Our corrupt politicians only hungry for money and votes cannot even decide whether to hang afzal guru or not for years perhaps to appease muslims.If this is the case then does it mean that all muslims are terrorists supporters?.I dont think so.Forget the terrorists,these politicians and also our courts are not able to decide if the stray dogs must be killed or not for almost last 10 years.Till some of these politicians are not killed in terror attacks they will just shed crocodile tears and ask public to face situation bravely and maintain calm.

    who has time for you poor Indian?By: Kumar B | 27-Sep-2008 Reply | Forward HRD minister is busy giving legal advice to terrorists, Home minister is busy dressing for TV appearance and lunch, Labor Minister is busy encouraging the laborers to take law into their hand and take care of CEOs, and Railway minister is busy defending SIMI. Did I leave any? Yes, the leader PM is busy having sleepless time with his nuclear deal – shaking hands with Bush. ( Any other State leader would have rushed back to the country where its capital is bleeding). So who has the time to take care of common citizen? May be we shall ask Mulayam or Paswan.

If they are so concerned abt the way they are being treated in India, why don't they just leave and to Pakistan? India is "not their country" anyways! They cry discrimination - but then who is discriminated more? Muslims in India where there are muslims in top positions everywhere or Hindus in Pakistan - who don't have any legal rights as citizens? The government needs to stop sitting on the fence and deal with these issues once and for all. Every month there are problems at our LOC. Enough with religious extremists - irrelevant of their religion. Does India need another invader to re-ignite that unity we once had as proud Indians? I grew up with everyone around me - had muslims to call my brothers who I tied rakhi to. Has Christian best friends. We never spoke of caste system at home - everyone was equal. Looking around me today - I am proud of my parents - who raised me not to discriminate anyone!

Congress have ruled the nation for 5 decades and their leaders and supporters have developed very thick skin. Unless their own kins dies in such blasts they are not going to listen. Unfortunately, these corrupt and criminal leaders of congress are getting protection from tax payer's money. This government has failed time and again to protect the innocent people. They are more focussing on containing their opponent BJP and Hindu outfits sensing the clear defeat in forthcoming elections. The islamic terrorism is outcome of last 4.5 years of islamic reservation and appeasement policy preached by UPA leaders. UPA even failed to arrest Raj Thackeray a new terrorist in the making just for the fear of losing local votes.
