Swarovski crystals are shining on the Indian ramp. And they aren’t just embellishing evening dresses. Fashion designers are using them to adorn other outfits too. JJ Valaya has used them on his sharp-shouldered jackets and Manish Arora has adorned his funky T-shirts and shoes with them.
Arora’s Paris Fashion Week collection featured sheath dresses studded with Swarovski crystals. Designer Tarun Tahiliani’s wedding couture has a liberal topping of them and at a recent show in Delhi, newbie designer Nishka Lulla’s tunics had crystal-laden sleeves and boleros.
