The Big Chill is spreading. After two outlets at Khan Market and a third at East of Kailash, the Italian eatery The Big Chill now has a plush,two-storey space at DLF Mall,Saket. The owner couple,Aseem Grover and Fawzia Ahmed, admit that malls have finally grabbed their fancy,“We resisted opening in a mall for a long, but the malls of Saket have turned the place into a fine shopping centre,” says Grover.

Unlike the two outlets at Khan Market, the diner at Saket is spacious,so you needn’t tumble through tables laden with pastas to grab your seat at the other end of the room. The dessert counter,on the ground level, too is isolated from the usual chaos that grips its outlets and there is enough space to stand and drool over the generous triangles of cheesecakes and pies. The alfresco dining area on the ground level opens into the mall’s atrium. The restaurant has 90 covers now,but the duo plan to add 50 more seats on the portico of the mall towards the main entrance.

The walls, expectedly, are plastered with the restaurant’s signature film posters. The menu maintains the range of pastas, pizzas and smoothies that other outlets offer, but Ahmed has burnt the midnight oil to make a few interesting additions. There are Bonafie Pie Ice Cream (Rs 100) and Black Forest Ghetto (Rs 175) that comes loaded with cherries and cream. The minus point, however,is the usual waitlist that grows longer on the weekends

Meal for two: Rs 1,800
act: 011- 41170000
tion: DLF Place,Saket
