For an entire generation that has missed out on Woodstock 69,the Escape festival should be music to their ears. The last weekend of the month will witness a mass exodus of music fans to Naukuchiataal in Uttaranchal where the three-day music festival will kick off on May 21. Escape,organised by Potheads,a music and arts event company,has been designed as a creative getaway and will feature 20 bands and artistes including Delhis Menwhopause,Big Bang Blues,Five8 and Mrigya,as well as Skinney Alley and Pink Noise from Kolkata,and Boomerang from Aizawl. In addition to the music performances,there is a host of other events such as Tarot card reading,a painting exhibition by Narendra Pal Singh and Bengali painters Biswajit Dey and Suman Bardhan,and photographs by Delhi-based Shiv Ahuja and Kamal Kansara. There will also be Kundalini yoga sessions by the riverside with yoga master Ajit Singh.
