• Became the 17th Indian to have scored a double century in Tests. Indians have scored 33 double centuries in all

• It was the seventh highest score by an Indian in Tests and the highest-ever by an Indian against Pakistan at home. Wasim Jaffer’s 202 (second Test in Kolkata) was the previous record

• Ganguly became the sixth Indian batsman to score a Test double hundred against Pakistan. Virender Sehwag is the only Indian who has scored three double hundreds, including a triple century, against Pakistan

• Of 33 double centuries scored by Indians in 411 Tests, 19 were on Indian soil
