  • Several stories are doing the rounds about the surprise good show put up by INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala in the recent Haryana Assembly elections. The most interesting of them credits an enormous yagna organised by Chautala at Pitamabara Peeth in Datia. The shrine is dedicated to Devi Baglamukhi, who is supposed to possess powers that can help one vanquish enemies and accomplish impossible tasks. Chautala, accompanied by his wife Snehlata, flew into Datia on a chartered helicopter during the election campaign to perform the final part of the yagna lasting several days. Perhaps Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, precariously placed as he is in the new government, can take a lesson or two?
