It turns out that the 11 th Osian’s Cinefan Festival is more about Bollywood this year than a venue for upcoming filmmakers and offbeat, cutting edge cinema that they’ve promoted in the past. The reticent filmmaker Zoya Akhtar popped by for the screening of her directorial debut, the reasonably successful Luck By Chance . Zoya is working on a second film set in Spain, and yes, it stars her brother Farhan. “I am in the process of winding up the script and will be sitting down with Farhan to discuss it soon,” says Zoya. She says they share a great rapport even though they have little in common. “She can function in chaos, I can’t,” says Farhan, who has just wrapped up shooting for Kartik Calling Kartik (releasing in February) for which he’s producer. “It is a love story that builds up as a thriller,” explains Farhan.
