Montblanc’s special fund raiser event for People For Animals ran to a full house

It’s not often that luxury brands open their hearts out to philanthropy but seems like German major Montblanc is setting a trend with each passing day. After the success of their ‘Signature for Good’ initiative that brought in an art show in support of UNICEF’s education and literacy programme,Montblanc Chandigarh sent out the invites for yet another good cause. This Saturday saw the brand’s boutique at The Taj roll out the red carpet and invite patrons to view their Starwalker and Meisterstuck range as well as loosen their purse strings in aid of the People For Animals (PFA). “We believe that things can change but only when done in a sustained manner. The simplest way to add to this effort is by buying a writing instrument from the two ranges. We in turn will give part of the proceeds to PFA for its various activities in aid of animals in need. Which means that while someone writes on with a new pen, somewhere an injured animal is being fed medicine or is being helped by a PFA ambulance,” explained the brand’s boutique manager Anaheeta Mehra as she and PFA’s Payal Sodhi formally got Urvashi Gulati,Chief Secretary,Haryana to get the fundraiser rolling. The special do was put together over wine and cheese at the boutique itself.

Showing their support for PFA on the occasion were the likes of Haryana’s Director Tourism Keshni Anand Arora,Arun Grover, managing director of Amartex Group,CII’s regional director Charu Mathur along with Inspector General of Police CSR Reddy,well-known entrepreneurs Naresh Nanda and Pawan Khaitan,to name a few. The well-attended event also saw everyone check out the latest arrival – the Mahatma Gandhi edition pen that was put on special display. “We are fortunate to have paired with Montblanc for the fundraiser. Our aim is to sensitize individuals towards animal welfare and not many realise that when it comes to raising money for something as little as feeding an injured animal,PFA has to really make efforts,” spoke Sodhi as she pointed out the handmade paper products put on sale for the evening. Here’s hoping they get all the help they need.
