Aamir Khan’s ‘Peekay’ sold for a whopping Rs 118 cr

Aamir Khan's <i>Peekay</i> is expected to release next year.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has joined hands with his 3 Idiots director Rajkumar Hirani once again in Peekay and now reports are that the film’s theatrical rights have been sold at a whopping Rs 118 crore.

Trade analyst Komal Nahta tweeted about the deal between producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and production house UTV,which will be distributing the movie both in India and overseas.

Aamir Khan will be romancing a much younger Anushka Sharma in the movie,which has been shot extensively in Rajsthan.

The movie also has Sanjay Dutt and Kai Po Che actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead.

Needless to say,the deal for P.K.,directed by Rajkumar Hirani,is the biggest ever deal for a Hindi film’s theatrical rights.
