
We are in what's perhaps one of the most beautiful spots in the country, the golf club in Shillong. And my guest is one of the most brilliant politicians we have seen, at least in the last couple of decades, Purno Sangma.
You say it's one of the most beautiful places in India; perhaps it's also one of the most beautiful in the whole world. I have traveled all over India and also abroad. Shillong is certainly very beautiful, and Mehghalaya is popularly known as the Scotland of the East.
Now we see why you've left Delhi and come back here . . . this golf club, I believe, is perhaps the only truly natural golf club in India.
You're absolutely right. . . and it's said this is the best natural golf course in Asia. But we don't get many tourists because the transportation is not good. And this is why we are all out to complete the airport in Shillong.
People also worry about coming to the northeast for some reasons.
That may be people's perception, but I don't think so . . . as you can see, Shillong and Meghalaya are the most peaceful places in the northeast. So people need not worry about that.
But people do worry. People don't even know well in Delhi, when you say you are from Meghalaya . . .
