They were naked, not one from crowd helped, cops got sheets

At 10.35 pm, the control room was told that the victims were being taken to Safdarjung hospital. At 10.55 pm, the PCR van reached the hospital. On the way to hospital, the woman's friend kept saying he had an injury on his head and that she was badly injured.

"We are friends, we were headed to Dwarka Sector 1 from Munirka. A bus came at 9 pm. There were eight to ten passengers on board the bus. They said they were headed to Bahadurgarh, that they would drop us off at the Dwarka Sector 1 bus stand. At the next stop, three to four passengers got off the bus. The remaining five to six men began assaulting us," the friend told police.

"I was attacked with an iron rod on the head while my friend was raped by the men. She was bleeding. The men were drunk... They took our mobile phones, my ring, watch, ATM card, credit card and Rs 1,000. Her photo ID, a purse with Rs 500 and mobile phone were taken away. They threw us out nude by the roadside," he told police.
