Three killed in road mishap in Kathua

Three persons were killed after a trailer in which they were travelling in fell into the Ravi river on Jammu-Pathankot national highway in Kathua.

Three persons were killed after a trailer in which they were travelling in fell into the Ravi river on Jammu-Pathankot national highway in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir,police officials said today.

The accident occurred when driver of the trailer,carrying timber sleepers from Kandla Port in Gujarat to Jammu,lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down from Madhopur bridge and fell into the river Ravi at Lakhanpur,about 80-kms from here,in Kathua district yesterday,they said.

In the mishap,three persons,including driver Gurmeet Singh,Pardeep Singh (cleaner) and Jasbir Singh,all hailing from Ferozpur in Punjab,were killed on the spot,they said.
