A tiger cub allegedly injured by poachers near Bhopal last week died Monday, the second such death since June.
The cub, aged around 10 months, was found half-paralysed in a pit at Kathotia on September 19. Forest department officials said the rear half of the cubs body was paralysed from falling into a 40-feet deep pit but wildlife activist Ajay Dubey contested the claim. The pit,he said, was only five feet deep and a cub of that age could easily negotiate such a fall.
