Tata Group company,Titan Industries,is eyeing to nearly double sales of its Sonata brand watches over the next 3-4-years on the back of brand affordability and reliability,a senior company executive said.
“Sonata will continue to offer reliablility and affordability to consumers. We expect to sell around 10-million watches every year in the next 3-4-years,as against the 6-million which we are selling currently,” Titan Industries Chief Operating Officer (Watches),Harish Bhat,said.
The Sonata brand has seen a growth of around 30 per cent in sales in the current fiscal,he said.
“The brand (Sonata) contributes nearly 50 per cent in the overall sales of 12-million watches that we sold this year,” he said.
When asked about the growth in overall sales from the watches business,Bhat did not divulge any number but said that “it is in good double-digits”.
Earlier,he unveiled the new logo and tag-line of the brand as a part of a re-branding exercise.
