Tukaram Jagannath College thumped DY Patil ACS College 9-0 in the final of the Pune University Inter-Collegiate Hockey Tournament organised by TJ College at Major Dhyanchand Hockey stadium on Monday.

Sachin Kamble was the hero of the day as he scored a hat-trick to lead his team to victory. TJ College started with a bang and scored in the second minute through Kamble, who was set up well by midfielder Santosh Swamy and he finished the ball with ease. Five minutes later, TJ College extended their lead after Nachiket Jadhav converted a penalty corner set up by Kamble. Kamble then got on the scoresheet again in the ninth minute and this time he was set up by Prashant Batellu.

The 11th minute saw Suhit Sutke increase his team’s lead to 4-0.

The game was sealed by this stage and DY Patil had given up. Prashant Batellu, Ajinkya Angir, Santosh Swamy and Swapnil Garsund added to the tally to make the score 9-0.
