In a bid to ensure the BJP wins the elections, the RSS would work towards maximum voter enrolment and turnout. RSS general secretary Suresh Joshi said RSS would thus have better participation in the democratic process. Everyone should ensure their names are on the voter list. The RSS would campaign for enrolling new voters. In the elections,we would ensure 100 per cent voter turnout, said Joshi.
The three-day meet of the RSS concluded here on Sunday. The RSS also expressed concern over blasts at Narendra Modis rally in Patna on Sunday.
On the opening day,BJP national president Rajnath Singh had addressed pranta pracharaks and tried to convince the RSS that the political situation prevailing in the country is in favour of the BJP. The national executive reviewed 2,500-odd new RSS shakhas that have come up within a year. Adopting technology, the RSS has made its footprint among professionals in IT and other sunrise sectors, apart from becoming active in the social media.
Joshi, speaking on the Communal and Targeted Violence Bill set to be introduced in the winter session, said they would oppose it as it seeks to divide society on the lines of minority and majority communities. Claiming that the proposed law was anti-Hindu,Joshi said it would further divide society instead of curbing communal violence.
This anti-harmony bill would be opposed at any cost. The bill shows sinister appeasement politics of the ruling party with an eye on the forthcoming elections, he alleged.
