The city’s top ‘encounter cop’, Assistant Commissioner of Police Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, has been transferred from the Special Cell of the Delhi Police last week. Yadav led a Special Cell team to last year’s Batla House encounter, and was also involved in the arrest of Uttar Pradesh’s most dreaded criminal Munna Bajrangi from Mumbai last week. He has been replaced by ACP Bhisham Singh, who was involved in encounter killing of ‘biker gang’ leader Bunty and in the investigation of Soumya Vishwanathan and Jigeesha Ghosh murders.
