Top seed Davydenko pulls out of Chennai Open,Aus Open

Davydenko has pulled out of the Chennai Open and Australian Open owing to an injury to the heel of his left foot.

Top seed Nikolay Davydenko of Russia on Wednesday pulled out of the Chennai Open ATP tournament and Australian Open Grand Slam owing to an injury to the heel of his left foot.

Davydenko,who reached the second round of the season starting prestigious event,told reporters that he was suffering from the injury for last about two months but was not in pain so much as he felt it in Chennai.

The Russian tennis star said he would also miss the Australian Open — the first Grand Slam of the season — beginning January 19.
