“We all forget important dates for different reasons. Yaadi will remind you of everything you want it to. It is not just reminding you of your birthdays or anniversaries but a customised task reminder solution for anything and everything,” explains Dhillon. The service targets people above 35 years,who are not familiar with the options available in technology these days,or can’t access it due to their busy schedules. “Since it’s a subscription-based service,one can choose the mode for reminders. It could be via phone call,SMS or e-mail service,” explains Dhillon,a chemical engineer by profession,who struck upon the idea of starting such a service while doing his MBA in the UK. He rolled out his own firm in Mohali in 2009.

To access Yaadi services,one can choose from the various plans and packs on offer. Prices start at Rs 500 for a yearly pack with 10 reminders and goes up to Rs 750 for 20 reminders in a year. There’s an inaugural discount of 10% for the first 100 customers. “We also have corporate packs starting at Rs 2,000 for a year with unlimited number of reminders,” explains Dhillon,who promises to remind clients of everything — from what time to take your medicine at to even car tyre rotation dates. “We have pre-made lists suggesting the tasks for reminders. But customers are free to come up with their own task lists because that’s what we are here for,” he quips.
