Cricketers Yousuf Pathan, who is busy preparing for the Champions Trophy in South Africa, surprised his younger brother Irfan back home on Monday morning with his Idi— an off white Toyota Fortuner.

According to family sources, Irfan came to the city late last night to offer Eid prayers along with his family members, who stay in the Tandalja locality.

“This morning, their father, Mehboob Khan Pathan, gave Irfan the keys after he offered his namaaz,” said a source. A jubilant Irfan immediately called up Yousuf in South Africa and expressed his gratitude.

“My brother Yousuf has given this to me as Idi. I am speechless… I wish him all the best for the Champions Trophy,” said Irfan later in the afternoon.

Sources added that Yousuf had booked the Rs 26-lakh Multi-Utility Vehicle six months ago in Mumbai. The vehicle was transported to Vadodara before Eid and the keys were handed over to his father. Yousuf had apparently asked his father to keep it a secret to surprise Irfan.
