Deepender Hooda (Congress): Present in the House. During the brief spells when the House assembled, he was seen engaged in conversation with party colleague Sandeep Dikshit. Was seen waving his hand to register his rejection of “Jai Shri Ram” chorus of BJP members.
Sandeep Dikshit (Congress):
Present in the House. Watched the ruckus without contributing to it. Post-lunch, shared his thoughts on the plight of senior citizens with a group of reporters in the wake of the Senior Citizens Bill passed by the Rajya Sabha today. He narrated the story of an old couple, who had been abandoned by their son after he got a job in an airline.
Manvendra Singh (BJP): Went to the Parliament, but was not spotted in the House. Later, he was reported to have gone to visit some relatives.
Dushyant Singh (BJP): Followed suit when other BJP members got up to match slogan-shouting by Samajwadi Party members. However, he did not join the chorus.
Mehbooba Mufti (PDP): Present. As the House witnessed chaos, she was seen walking up to Petroleum Minister Murli Deora and Tourism Minister Ambika Soni and conversing with them.
Omar Abdullah (National Conference):
Absent. Away to Jammu.
Akhilesh Yadav (Samajwadi Party):
Not present. Was reportedly at his native village, Saifai. Later, he left for Lucknow.
