  • The children’s mother, Poonam, was not so fortunate. She was taken to hospital with the other injured. Shot in the head, she died on Monday — five days after she and her family went to the CST to board the Geetanjali Express to Kolkata. Bharat has not been told she is dead. “Doctors have told us not to break this to him yet. His condition is still critical. He will not be able to take the shock,” says elder brother Ravi. But it is little Viraj who is Ravi’s big worry. “He refuses to drink milk or sleep. He wants his Mummy.”

Punish the criminals not the innocentBy: aqmamin | 05-Dec-2008 Reply | Forward Terrorists are face-less brutes, they have no labels, no religion, no conscience, no principles, no morality. A wanton terrorist attack in a plural society shows no distinction between Hindus. Muslims Christians• Jews atheists and free thinkers. Don’t many critics point their accusing fingers as if only the innocent Hindus of Bombay were targeted.? The facts on deaths and casualties show that approximately 130 Muslims had been either killed or injured as we see from the details found on the media. How would many of the biased observers explain Muslim terrorists killing their co-religionists and what was their motivation? Hindus , Muslims , Christians and others should get united forgetting their political goals and religious affiliations and think of a coordinated efforts to fight against terrorism and try hard to defeat the selfishly criminal aspirations of the extremists and militant elements of India’s political spectrum. Crime is a crime no matter whoever does it
no retaliation against innocentBy: united | 06-Dec-2008 Reply | Forward I pray that Indians stay united and reject all attempts to retaliate against innocent people from our religious minorities. Terror includes group hate and any massacre of innocent people. It must not be tolerated in any form from anyone. India is a secular democracy: if we're proud of it, let's keep it that way.
