The team of Man Udhan Varyache share their experiences on the newest entry on the Marathi telescreen

This one claims to be different. Trying to bring a whiff of fresh air to the Marathi telescreen by avoiding the repetitive issues usually portrayed, Man Udhan Varyache, a romantic serial started recently, has new and known faces coming together. Having aired a couple of episodes, the story, which is based in a rural as well as an urban setup, revolves primarily around a love triangle and their emotional dilemmas.

Produced by Mahesh Kothare Productions, Pune girls Nisha Shah and Neha Gadre play the lead roles, along with Kashyap Parulekar and Varsha Usgaonkar, who plays Parulekar’s on-screen mother. Having shot almost forty episodes in Kolhapur and Mumbai till now, the team was in the city sharing its experiences. On his first production, Kothare says, “We have been working meticulously on each aspect of the film, right from the production values to the selection of these new faces, which happened after thorough auditions. Romance hasn’t been profoundly shown on Marathi television and this one is a core romantic story that also has natural humour and other incidental emotions.”

Man Udhyan Varyache is being aired at 7 pm on Star Pravah. While Parulekar has done theatre earlier, for Shah and Gadre, it will be their first stint in acting.

“It is a golden opportunity for us. Working has been an fantastic experience all this while. We had been watching these senior actors since our childhood and now sharing screen space with them is a dream realised,” they chorus.
