Trinamool gets ready to rally with bodies again

The Trinamool Congress is gearing up for a rerun of the rally with the dead body of victims of political clashes – this time with those killed in Burdwan.

Two Trinamool supporters — Tapas Saha (43) and Amritcharan Saha (32) — were murdered yesterday on their way to the local market at Ketugram in Burdwan district. Immediately,top Trinamool leaders rushed to the spot.

The body of another Trinamool supporter,Dilip Ghosh,was found near a pond at Mangalkot area today. Ghosh had been missing since Wednesday.

The party will take out a rally with the three bodies tomorrow leading to Trinamool Bhawan where Mamata Banerjee and other leaders will pay homage to the victims. Banerjee may also participate in the rally. Family members of all the three victims will be present at the rally.

The series of rallies with dead bodies was started on December 17,when the ruling CPM taking out a procession with the body of Swapan Koley – a victim of campus violence.

“CPM goons are on a killing spree in the state. Everyday our workers are brutally killed. We are making arrangements to bring the bodies of the latest victims to Kolkata. We will show the people what the CPM is doing,” said Mukul Roy,Trinamool MP and Union Minister of State for Shipping. Roy visited Burdwan,along with leader of the opposition Partha Chatterjee,MLA Madan Mitra and Chief Whip Sudip Bandopadhyay.
